Dr Khalid Mohammed Nasser Al-Riyami M.D.

Dr Khalid Mohammed Nasser Al-Riyami is an experienced Pediatrician and Neonatologist, Based in Oman.
After completing his M.D Education at Sultan Qaboos University, he proceeded to gain his MCCEE in Canada, and completed the Oman Specialty Board training in 2011. He completed his MRCPCH in UK, following this with a Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Certificate in High Risk Follow up and Neonatal Development from University of Manitoba, Canada.
Currently Practicing as Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist in Muscat, he also is a member of the Infection control and CLABSI committee, and is Chairman of the Nutrition and TPN committee at the Royal hospital NICU, Oman. In addition, he has held previous positions as a member of pediatric mortality and morbidity committee, and had experience in General Practice. He also is certified in nSMART, CANATA, PALS, NRP, ACLS and BLS. He is also the Organizer and moderator of residents and staff teaching schedule at Royal Hospital NICU, is a regular trainer at Oman Medical Specialty Board simulation center, an Associate trainer at Oman Medical Speciality Board (pediatric residency program) and Associate trainer for Sultan Qaboos University MD students
Research activities include being the Main supervisor for a finished retrospective study: Assessment of WINROP algorithm as screening tool for preterm Infants in Oman to detect retinopathy of prematurity, as well as being Involved in a randomized controlled clinical trial as a second investigator on RSI (rapid sequence intubation) with or without atropine.
